As revealed by the conference on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the Coyotes have secured 30 points to clinch this formidable position. South Dakota’s very own, Mali Van Meeteren and Klarissa Vega, are among the distinguished players spotlighted in the 2026 Summit League Women’s Soccer Players to Watch List. Their remarkable achievements and contributions to the team have earned them this well-deserved recognition.
Van Meeteren, a senior midfielder, returns fortified for her senior year. With an impressive record of starting all 19 matches last season, she logged 1,444 minutes and demonstrated her scoring abilities with three goals and one assist. Meanwhile, Vega, the dynamic redshirt sophomore forward, enters her second season after a debut that turned heads across the league. Her exceptional performance in 2025 not only earned her the Summit League Newcomer of the Year title but also saw her making the Second Team All-Summit League and being included in the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Third Team.
