VERMILLION, S.D. — Passion for sports runs deep in the heartland, and this weekend as South Dakota and South Dakota State, two fierce rivals, clash at Nygaard Field in Vermillion, residents of the Rushmore State are in for a treat. The interstate softball series, which promises electrifying action, showcases the spirit and dedication of South Dakota’s athletes and their vibrant communities. Scheduled for March 20 to 22, 2026, this event, eagerly anticipated by fans across the state, will be live-streamed on the Summit League Network with live stats available.
