Celebrating Academic Excellence: South Dakota State University’s Dean’s List Recognition

Brookings, SD — South Dakota State University, a beacon of higher education in the Midwest, proudly announced the inclusion of more than 3,900 students on its highly esteemed Dean’s List for the fall 2024 semester. To merit the Dean’s List distinction, students must complete at least 12 credits and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Among the 3,901 students recognized, a remarkable 1,600 achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

South Dakota students have shown exceptional academic prowess with many from local communities achieving high honors. Beresford, South Dakota, saw five of its residents honored, including notable scholars like Laura Bogue and Adyson Hansen in the College of Education and Human Sciences.

Elk Point contributed nine accomplished students, such as Chace Fornia* from the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering, showcasing the county’s thriving educational culture.

In Irene, five exemplary students including Samuel Hansen* in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences, represent the community’s strong agricultural ties and ambition.
